To save the historic Jefferson Court Apartments from demolition, the DNDC purchased 205 Jefferson Ave. utilizing Preservation Virginia’s Revolving Fund program in May 2020 after securing an historic easement. The building was then marketed to experienced historic developers for restoration. In December 2020, it was sold to the team that redeveloped Danville’s Smith’s Seeds Lofts at 315 Lynn Street and the Dudley Building at 434-442 Main Street.
