The Do’s & Don’ts of Hiring a Contractor

This course covers everything you need to know before hiring a contractor to work on your home, from contractor selection and deciding the final “scope of work,” to requesting a “lien waiver.”   These questions will also be answered: What does it mean to be “licensed”?  Should I require proof of insurance?  Do I have to make a down payment?  If so, how much?  Should it be cash?  What do I do if a contractor does not follow through on the work?
